Heading south on Highway 9 toward Breckenridge (1/2 mile south of Frisco on Highway 9), you'll find the Peninsula Recreation Area. The Peninsula contains:

In the winter, the Peninsula is home to the Frisco Nordic Center (see below) and a playground for cross-country skiers, snowshoers and biathletes.
